Sound familiar?

“We should be on social media… but where do we start?”

Most churches have fewer than 100 people on a Sunday, with no communications staff. You’re not behind. You just need a simple, steady plan and someone to carry it out.

Not sure where to begin

The page was set up years ago, posts go up now and then, and no one is quite sure what to post, how often, or how Instagram works.

No one has the time

The pastor is stretched, the church secretary is part-time, and the volunteer who “knows computers” is already doing three other jobs.

Flashy isn’t your style

Trendy agencies make content that doesn’t fit a traditional congregation. You want posts that are warm, reverent and recognizably yours.

How it works

Three simple steps. No tech skills needed.

You don’t have to come up with ideas. Your sermon, your scripture and your church calendar already hold a month of good posts.

1

Share Sunday’s message

Send a YouTube or Facebook link, upload a recording, or just send your sermon notes or bulletin. If your sermons are online, we can pick them up automatically.

2

Approve your week

Each week you get one link with all of your posts. Approve them or ask for a change. If you’re busy, posts are approved automatically after 3 days. Anything sensitive always waits for your OK.

3

We post for you

Everything goes out on schedule to your church’s Facebook page and Instagram account. There’s nothing to log in to and nothing to remember.

About 10 minutes of your time each week.

What we need from you

A few good photos, and Sunday’s message each week

You don’t need special equipment. A phone is fine. Here’s what helps us make posts that look and sound like your church.

📷 A starter set of photos

All plans
  • About 20 photos to start: 5 of the outside of the building, 4 of the sanctuary, 6 of people and fellowship, 3 of worship and 2 of the pastor and staff
  • Phone photos are fine. Shoot in daylight or with the lights on, walk closer instead of zooming, and hold steady
  • Send the original photos, not screenshots, with no filters
  • Only include people who are happy to be posted, and follow your church’s photo policy for children
  • Church Life and up: 3–5 new photos a week

📝 Sunday’s message

Getting Started & Church Life
  • No video needed. Each week, send one of these:
  • An audio recording of the sermon (from the sound board or a phone)
  • Your sermon notes or manuscript
  • Or the bulletin and scripture readings
  • Plus your logo (if you have one), service times and the name of the person who approves your posts

🎥 A clear sermon video

Sermon Video & Full Presence
  • The full sermon each week by Monday morning, as a YouTube or Facebook link or an upload
  • 1080p HD (most phones from the last few years). Landscape is fine
  • Clear, easy-to-hear audio: a sound-board feed or a $20–$60 lapel mic is best, with no echo or music under the speaking
  • Phone on a tripod at chest height, 10–15 ft from the pulpit, with the preacher centered and the camera not zooming
  • Turn on Do Not Disturb, plug the phone in, leave 5 GB free, and record a quick test first

No video yet? Start on a non-video plan and add video whenever you’re ready.

Josh Lawrence, founder of Steeple Social
Built by a pastor

We know the pace of ministry because we live it.

Steeple Social was started by Josh Lawrence, a senior lead pastor in Columbus, Ohio. He knows how sermons are structured, how the church calendar flows, and how carefully a pastor’s words need to be handled. He also knows how stretched most church staff are.

It isn’t a trendy marketing agency trying to learn church life. Every post is reviewed by a person to make sure nothing is taken out of context or out of character for your congregation, and you always have the final say.

✝︎ Theologically careful
🎯 Never out of context

FAQ

Questions pastors ask

We’re not very technical. Is that OK?

Yes, that’s who we built this for. You won’t need to learn any new apps. You send us Sunday’s message (a link, a recording, or even your notes or bulletin), and you approve your posts from one link in your email. We’ll walk you through connecting your Facebook page and Instagram step by step.

How do approvals work?

Each week you get one link with all of the week’s posts. You can approve them or ask for changes, and one round of revisions is included each week. If you don’t get to it, posts are approved automatically after 3 days so your pages stay active. You can choose “always wait for my approval” instead. Anything sensitive, like news about a church member, children in photos or a fundraising ask, always waits for your OK.

Which platforms do you post to?

Facebook and Instagram. That’s where most church families, neighbors and visitors already are, so we focus on doing those two well.

Do we need to record our sermons?

Not for our Getting Started and Church Life plans. An audio recording, sermon notes, a manuscript, your bulletin or the week’s scripture readings are enough. Our video plans need a weekly video of the sermon in HD with clear, easy-to-hear audio. A livestream, a YouTube video or a phone on a tripod with a simple lapel mic all work. See what we need from you.

Can you turn our sermons into a podcast?

Yes, with our Sermon Podcast add-on ($99/month plus $149 one-time setup). We set up your show, list it on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, YouTube Music, Amazon Music and others, and upload each week’s sermon with show notes and artwork. All we need is clear sermon audio, and the show belongs to your church.

Will it look and sound like our church?

Yes. During setup we create your church’s look from your logo and colors and write a short guide to your church’s voice, tradition and preferred Bible translation. Every week we check names, scripture references and church terms.

What about worship music and copyright?

For video clips we use only the spoken sermon and take out worship music and background tracks. Any music we add comes from licensed or royalty-free libraries.

Do you need our passwords?

No. You give us partner access through Facebook’s own settings, and we’ll show you how. You can remove our access at any time.

Do you guarantee growth?

No. We promise steady, careful, on-brand posts every week and a clear monthly record of what was posted. We don’t promise attendance or follower numbers.
